KH Wedding flowers arch July 2021.jpg

A t a recent wedding in St Nicholas’, the wedding couple opted to have the arch at the top of the church adorned with a beautiful flower display. It smelt wonderful too!

It was a stunning display which not only did the wedding party enjoy but also the congregation on the following Sunday were able to enjoy.

about us

THE CHURCH IS OPEN FOR REGULAR WORSHIPPING

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU

St Nicholas’ church is located on the edge of the village and aims to be at the heart of the village community.  The Church of England's service book 'Common Worship' is used on most Sundays. The services have a clear structure and are warm and friendly in style.

The worship embraces both traditional and contemporary hymns. Once a month (usually on the second Sunday of the month) there is a Family Service. Refreshments are served after every service and most people stay for this and enjoy meeting and talking to each other.

St Nicholas’ has good links with the local Kelvedon Hatch Primary School. The whole school visits St Nicholas’ for termly services. Members of the church are actively involved in the local community taking communion to the residential homes at Dudbrook House and Howard Lodge.

St Nicholas' is fortunate in having the Fane Hall (a church hall adjacent to the church) which is used for church functions and can be hired out by groups or organisations.

The regular Sunday morning service starts at 11.00am.

There are different services each week - please consult the calendar/events list to see which one is happening on any given Sunday
